STUDENT-CENTERED

Nelson Mandela once said education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. We believe education must extend beyond the acquisition of knowledge and skills for economic rewards. A good education must equip students to make their communities better. Through our programs, we encourage students to use their knowledge and skills to address social and economic inequities around them. We invest in students to equip them to lives of service, compassion and justice in their communities and beyond. We currently work with students from Ashesi University College and University of Ghana. Future of Africa selects 20 students to join the FOA Leaders program every year.

MENTORSHIP

Most people between the ages of 15-25 years experience challenges in understanding their world and their place within it. These challenges can be crippling without someone to believe in you. Through mentorship we get to know our leaders and expose them to opportunities to discover their full potential and give them tools to make positive decisions. Effective mentorship gives students important life skills and builds within them the confidence to lead change in their communities. Our students participate in weekly community engagement and critical reflection activities. Through these experiences our students build
