ALL HUMAN LIVES ARE EQUAL IN VALUE
This fundamental belief is our foundation; the bedrock into which our core values are rooted.
In addressing social issues that keep our communities stuck in generational loops of poverty, we are guided by a strong commitment to service – the view that we can create social change if we share our resources to help disadvantaged individuals and groups live a life of progress and dignity. We don’t wait until we’ve “made it”, have more money, time or time off to help. We sacrifice out of what we have now.
As moral leaders we believe being fully present with the weak and most vulnerable in our communities is a sacred obligation. We are guided by a commitment to compassion – the view that we can reduce the pain of loneliness when we empathize and offer tangible hope. We don’t ignore the quiet sufferings of people around us. We put down our cell phones to offer practical help.
In promoting fairness we challenge injustice and advocate for change especially on behalf of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable in our communities. As young leaders we will boldly speak up when people are treated unfairly, use the appropriate channels to address injustices. We do the right thing even when no one is looking.
