Bridget Afrane

Programs Coordinator

Reach Out

Bridget is naturally bubbly: she loves conversations and food, and is a fierce lover of family. For her, happiness is dependent on the safety and joy of those she considers her family. Her contagious smile, combined with her passion to educate the vulnerable children on the continent drives her every action.

"I believe that these kids should also have a voice, be heard, and have the same rights as everybody else."

Bridget's FOA Journey started during the COVID-19 period in Ghana when she decided to volunteer here while on break from school. What began as a short volunteering experience became an internship, and later developed into her National Service and now a full-time role at the organization.

"The people here were very nice and friendly. They made me feel like a part of the place by interacting with me, so it was very welcoming. It was like a home."

Bridget graduated from the University of Ghana, majoring in Education and minoring in Social Work.

As a Programs Coordinator, Bridget is in charge of health-related issues, family tracing & reunification, and the general welfare of our FOA children.
