International Day For Street Children

About Future of Africa, assisting homeless youth in Ghana

April 12th is International Day for Street Children. Organizations across the world are recognizing this day to highlight the strength and resilience of children in street situations, as well as highlighting the growing injustices these children continue to face.

What Is It?

Future of Africa is working collaboratively with other Ghanaian NGOs and stakeholders with a focus on children in street situations, to advocate for access to healthcare, inclusive education, shelter, mental health support, and other basic necessities.

What's Involved?

As part of #IDSCGhana activities, participating organizations and stakeholders will join street residents at various locations across the country in a street poster campaign to amplify their voices.

Stakeholders Webinar

Also, as part of this day of awareness, participating organizations are also collaborating on a Stakeholders Webinar to discuss improving access to essential services.
