Eleven young girls and boys join our Skills and Youth Development Program

To celebrate our 10th year working with street youth in Accra, we are taking 10 youth off the street. Today, 11 girls and boys have joined our Skills and Youth Development Program

As FOA celebrates 10 years of transforming the lives of young boys and girls in street situations, we’re marking this milestone by taking 10 more youth from the streets. Since February, five young girls and six boys have joined our Skills and Youth Development pathway, stepping into a safe haven filled with hope.

Through vocational training and an individualised development plan, they will gain skills for self-sufficiency, but for now, they’re simply enjoying being safe and cared for as they begin to heal and rebuild their lives.

Each day, Christabel, Vivian, Josephine, Bright, Emmanuel, Prince, Charles, Boateng, Anita, Lydia and Ibrahim are letting go of the weight of their past and opening up to what’s ahead.  You can see it in their smiles, the way they jump into activities, and how curious they are to learn.

Become The Change You Want To See
